Dr. Lahiri’s Research Group Receives AFOSR Award in Quantum Information Science

Dr. Mayukh Lahiri’s research group received a three-year award (15 March 2023 – 14 March 2026) from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) to conduct research in Quantum Information Science.

This research project will develop novel methods to measure quantum entanglement. Entanglement is a unique trait of quantum physics, considered a key resource in quantum information processing. Measurement of entanglement is an important problem in the field of quantum information science due to its direct applications to quantum communication, quantum teleportation, quantum metrology, and quantum computation. The award will support graduate and undergraduate students.
