Our research in the area of radiation dosimetry is focused on development and application of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and themoluminescence (TL) techniques to problems in personal and area monitoring, particularly of neutrons, space dosimetry, medical dosimetry (dose verification, quality assurance, radiation protection, etc.), and accident dosimetry.

Each one of these areas represents a challenge in  dosimetry due to the complexity of the radiation field (space and neutron dosimetry), requirements in terms of spatial and absolute precision and accuracy (dosimetry in radiotherapy), or in the use of available natural or biological material (accident dosimetry).
