POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW IN HIGH ENERGY THEORY
Oklahoma State University

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research position at Oklahoma State University starting Fall 2009. The OSU High Energy Theory group consists of two permanent faculty, one postdoc and eight graduate students. The group’s major research interest involves model building and collider physics with a focus on unification, Higgs physics, neutrino masses and mixings, flavor physics, supersymmetry and extra dimensions. We are very interested in the implications of these ideas to the physics to be explored at the LHC. (For details, see our web page, http://www.physics.okstate.edu/hep/). We also have an active experimental HEP group involved in the D0 collaboration at the Tevatron, and the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. Our group plays a major role in the Oklahoma Center for High Energy Physics, (OCHEP, http://ochep.phy.okstate.edu). A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Physics with specialization in high energy theory is required. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. Interested candidates should send a letter of application, CV and a statement of research interests and arrange to have three letters of references sent to Professors S. Nandi or K.S. Babu, Department of Physics, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK 74078. Review of applications will begin December 31, 2008, but the position will remain open until filled. Oklahoma State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity/E-Verify employer committed to diversity. Effective 7/1/08, OSU-Stillwater is a tobacco-free campus.
