General machine shop work including: close tolerance milling, lathe work, heliarc welding, silver soldering, and soft soldering. We also do plastics and sheet metal fabrication. 

Cost Of Service and Equipment

$20.00/hour plus materials.

Description of Programs Available

This shop builds instrumentation that isn't commonly built anywhere else in the area.

Examples Include

Pressure vessels, vacuum vessels, Cryostats and associated accessories, translation devices, electro-mechanical devices, laser optic designs, fiber optic applications, instruments used by veterinarians, and Plexiglas assemblies. Exotic metals, plastics, and other materials are in stock.
